　　From November 24th, 2008 to 28th, Karachi held the fifth session of international defense exhibition, Pakistani Heavy industry Enterprise (HIT) in tank’s foundation carries on the transformation and designed “Zara” main battle tank to participate in the demonstration in the Chinese system 59 types.

　　Zara” tank has designed the turret, has substituted for 59 tank’s casting turrets by the brand-new welding turret, and for tank equipment advanced explosive reactive armor. “Zara” tank has installed a 730 horsepowers high efficiency diesel engine, and has equipped a newest 125 millimeters caliber lubricated chamber cannon.

　　The tank compares with obsolete 59 types, “Zara” main battle tank enhancement had the modern main battle tank’s technical special characteristics, can meet the Pakistani Army’s tactical need. Simultaneously Pakistan will also sell this model of tank to the international arms market.
